Vaporox Next-gen Wound Healer Cleared

FDA has cleared a Vaporox 510(k) for its next-generation VHT-200 medical device system for healing chronic wounds. “Vaporox’s Vaporous Hyperoxia Therapy (VHT) is a breakthrough technology that has been clinically validated as a safe and effective adjunct treatment for healing skin wounds,” the company says.

VHT is designed to deliver a “unique combination of elements” that the company says have been shown to accelerate healing: ultrasonic mist and concentrated oxygen. Its delivery system for these elements “promotes revascularization and tissue growth,” it adds.

The 510(k) was supported by three separate clinical studies and thousands of treatments, demonstrating that adding VHT to standard wound care consistently doubles or triples healing in 20 weeks or less, Vaporox says.
