Vascular Solutions Case in Online Documentary

Reason TV, an online content provider using YouTube, has created a 10-minute documentary film “celebrating the courage” of Vascular Solutions and its CEO Howard Root in mounting a successful $25 million defense against government criminal charges of illegal off-label promotion of the company’s Vari-Lase Short Kit. Writing about the documentary, producer Zach Weissmueller says the case “has profound implications for medical innovation in America.”

DuVal & Associates’ Mark DuVal, who was interviewed for the film along with Howard Root, says in a Client Alert that the documentary “does a good job of making us question government enforcement and highlights the remarkable courage of Howard Root and the board of directors of Vascular Solutions for taking on the federal government and defending itself against criminal allegations of off-label promotion.”
