Web Sites Offering Unapproved Covid Iodine Products

FDA says its review of three Web sites and a Facebook page operated by OutoftheBoxRemedies.com found that the sites are offering iodine products for sale in the U.S. for the mitigation, prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or cure of Covid-19 in people. A 6/10 Warning Letter sent to a Web site contact in Modiin, Israel, says the products are considered to be unapproved new drugs that are also misbranded.

The Web site owner was told to take immediate action to correct the violations and to respond by e-mail with a list of specific steps being taken to correct the violations and prevent their recurrence, with copies of related documentation.
