Welldoc 510(k) for BlueStar Insulin Adjustment

FDA has cleared a Welldoc 510(k) to add a new feature to its digital health product BlueStar Rx which supports individuals using long-acting insulin. The Insulin Adjustment Program (IAP) supports the process of basal insulin titration by health care providers for adults with Type 2 diabetes, according to the company. Patients can integrate BlueStar with any blood glucose monitor, blood pressure cuff, or fitness tracker, it says, adding that the device delivers tailored, real-time feedback to improve long-term diabetes health. It also aggregates critical data to assist by delivering actionable insights to the user’s care team, Welldoc says.
