# White House Inks Deals with Lilly and Novo Nordisk

The Trump Administration has [announced](https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/11/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-announces-major-developments-in-bringing-most-favored-nation-pricing-to-american-patients/?ref=fdaweb.com) new agreements with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to lower U.S. prices for several products, including the GLP-1 medications Ozempic and Wegovy, when purchased through the new TrumpRx drug distribution platform. The agreement is part of the administration’s Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) pricing efforts.

Key pricing provisions

- The list prices of Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic and Wegovy will drop to $350 per month, from current levels of roughly $1,000 and $1,350, respectively.
- The prices of Lilly’s Zepbound and orforglipron, Lilly’s oral drug currently in clinical trials for treating Type 2 diabetes and obesity, would average $346 per month under the TrumpRx program.
- If FDA clears an oral form of Wegovy or similar GLP-1 therapies, those products would launch at $150 per month for the initial dose.
- Lilly will offer Emgality (migraine) at $299 per pen and Trulicity (diabetes) at $389 per month, both well below current list prices.
- Novo Nordisk will cap insulin products such as NovoLog and Tresiba at $35 per monthly supply.
- Both companies agreed to extend MFN pricing to all future drugs, and provide every state Medicaid program access to the same low prices.

The White House says the new prices will also extend to Medicare and Medicaid, with Medicare copays capped at $50 per month and coverage for obesity drugs for the first time. According to the White House, Medicare will pay $245 per month for GLP-1 products.

Additionally, manufacturing investments were tied to the deal, and they include:

- Novo Nordisk will invest $10 billion to expand U.S. production capacity, including for the Wegovy tablet, if approved.
- Eli Lilly plans to invest $27 billion in new U.S. manufacturing projects under the administration’s “Investing in America” effort.
