*Federal Register* notice: FDA has announced a 10/30 public workshop entitled “CDER Rare Diseases Public Workshop: Strategies, Tools, and Best Practices for Effective Advocacy in Rare Diseases Drug Development” that is intended to help the rare disease community to understand what the agency needs to enhance drug development. It will include case studies demonstrating the overlap of effective advocacy techniques and FDA regulations in rare disease drug development. The workshop also aligns with mandated provisions in the 21st Century Cures Act on patient-focused drug development.
