WuXi Biologics Completes 2 FDA Inspections

In what some industry observers say may be a sign that FDA is ramping up foreign inspections after a year-long hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, WuXi Biologics says it successfully completed both an FDA pre-license inspection and a routine FDA GMP (good manufacturing practice) inspection at its facility in WuXi, China. The company says the inspections focused on two different innovative biologics.

WuXi reports that over 15 working days, nine agency inspectors evaluated the manufacturing, raw material, warehousing, laboratory, equipment, utilities, and quality systems in a combination of on-site and virtual inspections using digital solutions developed by WuXi.
