# Xact Robotics Percutaneous Interventional Device Cleared

FDA has cleared an Xact Robotics 510(k) for its robotic system and its use during computed tomography guided percutaneous interventional procedures. The company says its technology is the “first hands-free robotic system combining image-based planning and navigation with insertion and steering of various instruments to a desired target across an array of clinical applications and indications.” The device’s small footprint and high mobility design will allow users to treat patients in various clinical sites, it says.
