# Yale Working with FDA on Trial Diversity

The FDA Office of Minority Health and Health Equity has awarded the Yale School of Medicine a $3 million contract to promote clinical trial education, awareness, and access for underrepresented minorities. A Yale [statement](https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/fda-office-of-minority-health-and-health-equity-collaborates-with-school-of-medicine-to-promote-clinical-trials-diversity/?ref=fdaweb.com) says the medical school made great strides in that area during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and the work being funded by FDA will build on those efforts by further refining approaches to building trust and participation in trials in diverse communities across the country.
